Building on the recent agate craze are these mixed media necklaces by Karyn Chopik. This season, she showed precious stones can be flaunted effortlessly with plenty of length and layering—some of her necklaces were draped all the way to the waist.
Perhaps inspired by the runways of Gucci, the Vancouver-based designer wove agate slices into her accessories, along with other gems and stones like turquoise, fresh water pearls, citrine glass and crystal.
Keeping with her signature look, Chopik’s Spring 2009 jewelery collection juxtaposes these glitzy baubles with rustic-looking metals like sterling silver, antiqued brass and copper.
Also featured in the last two images are layered pieces from the Karyn Chopik Mystique Collection.
