From celebrated Chilean artist Ivan Navarro comes a minimal art piece and working clock that gradually illuminates as the sun rises. The Eclipse Clock is entirely dark at midnight but becomes fully bright by noon, slowly lighting up as dawn draws near.
Made out of acrylic, aluminum, glass and LED lighting, the circular clock has the word 'Petrification' emplazoned across it. This is a nod to the archeological process "wherin historical time is consecrated through layers upon layers of organic sediments" according to the description by Paul Kasmin Gallery's PK Shop. The minimal art object represents, therefore, a deeper reflection on the concept of eternity in addition to the correlation between light, movement and time.
