British engineering company Delta Motorsport has gone ahead and released a high-tech device, dubbed the MiTRE, that is designed to significantly increase the range of micro-turbine contraptions used in conjunction with electric vehicles.
The system is designed to increase the range of electric vehicles without having to incorporate traditional piston engine systems. What's great about this micro-turbine range-extending technology is that it is capable of offering a boost of 47 horsepower from a package that is half as heavy as a piston engine offering similar performance, nearly half the size and offers a high degree of thermal efficiency.
