Design duo Alberto Sánchez and Eduardo Villalón who run MUT Design work in collaboration with Valencian company MISSANA to create the Michelin System of sofas. It is a modular system that is defined by its curvaceous structure and voluptuous form.
The sensual inspiration has a dynamic form that nods to a classic Baroque nude image from a modern perspective. The seating designs are versatile and functional and use only two pieces. There is a corner section and a single-seater module -- both of these invite various configurations to suit any needs of a space. The structures are meant to fold into themselves with a single curved movement. This curved look forms the backrests, arm rests, and seat.
