The McLaren Meliora concept encapsulates the brand's quintessential style. India-based automotive designer Krishnakanta Saikhom envisioned creating a sports car that best embodies McLaren's signature and recognizable design traits.
The concept leans heavily on the ellipse element located around the car's headlights as the main design icon. The Meliora focuses on specific McLaren details, such as the color and surface-split feature typically seen in the 720s. Instead of constricting the surface-split detail to the headlights area, the concept car extends the ellipse into the sides of the luxury vehicle. To create a sense of contrast, the designer gave the Meliora a yellow paint-job to ensure the black detailing stands out. The rear is informed by the 570s back end, featuring two exhausts between its taillights.
