Miguel’s Jr. Will Be Starting 2024 with Mary’s Pozole

Miguel’s Jr., a brand that's been dubbed Southern California’s destination for homestyle Mexican cuisine since 1973, has just unveiled the release of a mouthwatering new dish: Mary’s Pozole.

Available for a limited time beginning on January 3rd, 2024, the new dish is a take on a traditional Mexican stew featuring hominy, cabbage, chilli peppers, onion, garlic, avocado, and more. As Co-Founder and Chief Recipe Officer of Miguel’s Jr.,, Mary Vasquez, explains, "Our Pozole is full of flavor and spice, just like my mother used to make when I was a child growing up in Central Mexico... We’re delighted to satisfy our guests’ cravings with this traditional dish to start the New Year."

Mary’s Pozole will feature a slow-simmered, chile-based broth filled with tender hominy and your choice of Miguel’s Jr.’s authentically seasoned shredded chicken or slow-roasted chile verde pork.
