Cross-Culture Fashion Collections

Uniqlo Created the Marimekko Collection with Maija Louejari

The widely expanding Japanese retail brand Uniqlo partnered with Finnish design company Marimekko to create a special, limited-edition Marimekko collection. The Uniqlo x Marimekko collection features nine items that consist of bold colors and prints, all of which use the muse of nature and the modern lifestyle. The patterns are made by designer Maija Louejari of Marimekko. The whole series is a one-size-fits-all concept, reiterating the idea of a casual daily lifestyle through the products. The limited-edition collaboration consists of t-shirts, wide pants, blouses, canvas sneakers, dresses and bags.

The Uniqlo x Marimekko collection will be launching in-stores and online in March.
