Airports are usually the last place people think of when considering good food options, but San Francisco International airport is looking to change those notions with the construction of its new Manufactory Food Hall. The new food hall will be filled with local San Francisco hot-spots Kin Khao, Cala and Tartine. Each of these eateries have been awarded incredible distinctions and are constantly recognized for their innovation and incredible flavors.
The Manufactory Hall will be absolutely huge at 3,200 square feet and will provide comfortable space for all three restaurants, a full-service bar and an alleged retail component. For many of the restaurants, this new venture comes with a set of challenges due to the need to reduce menu size and cater to a more grab-and-go focused customer. Kin Khao owner Pim Techamuanvivit explained to the San Fransisco Chronicle that this new experience would be "a puzzle needing to be solved." The new food hall is expected to open in mid 2018.
