Submarine-Carried Islands

This Man-Made Island of Luxury Floats Atop the Roofs of Submarines

Designers at Migaloo Private Submersible Yachts created this beautifully luxurious made-made island concept called the Kokomo Island. The idea was to create a private retreat that combined exotic island themes with five-star hotel accommodations.

The man-made island is completely transportable and can be driven anywhere through the powerful use of submarines, which are the base of the island that is below water. There are eight of these submerged pods that act as the flotation devices to keep Kokomo Island afloat. A few key features of this urban vacation destination include: "a penthouse suite, artificial beach, hanging gardens, cinema room, Jacuzzi, heliport and a sunken dining room."

However, the best feature is probably the 360-degree panoramic views that are always available. The 117-meter artificial island will be launched at the Monaco Yacht Show.
