Subtle Wireframe Furniture

The Magnum Dinner Table by Pierre Favresse is Deceptively Light

The Magnum Dinner Table is an unusual piece of furniture. Made up of an eclectic range of materials, it is as quirky as it is minimalist. The first project for the nascent French company La Chance, which was founded by Jean-Baptiste Souletie and launched in April 2012, the table is the result of specific instructions. According to La Chance's website, "The challenge given to the designer was to create a table made of bulky elements that should be visually light."

Created by Paris-based designer Pierre Favresse, the Magnum Dinner Table is just that. For instance, marble legs are paired with a thin tabletop to achieve this look of lightness without necessarily being light. The pieces are held together with a wireframe.
