Lately, good designs are not just about how something looks (although that is a big part of the equation), it also revolves around the function (or in this case, functions) of a particular product; enter the Magnetic Switch Cover. Although it is quite a traditional and plain light switch cover, it also acts as a part-time key holder since its bottom half is one big magnet.
Designed by industrial student Jake Frey, the Magnetic Switch Cover was part of a project for the home department of Urban Outfitters. Definitely a hipster creation, it is a standard size switch cover plate with a high-power magnet incorporated in the back. The Magnetic Switch Cover allows you to pretty much do two things at once as soon as you walk in the door.
