Designed as a means of rethinking smartphone interfaces, Magic UX simplifies multitasking by integrating movement to replace swiping and icon pressing. Inspired by multitasking with physical objects, this new smartphone system was inspired by how one may work with multiple items on a desk.
The Magic UX system relies on a phone's spatial awareness as a means of "pinning" applications to certain points in a physical space. This concept essentially turns apps into real-world items that can be accessed only in specific locations. This idea also takes advantage of our biological talent for handling objects in a physical space.
