Photographer Navid Baraty's capture of this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade offers an aerial perspective of the event. The New York-based artist managed to get a birds eye view of the giant floats as they passed through the streets, a product of his physical position within a 30-story building.
Baraty speaks of the differences between on and above-ground views, "It's crazy how small it all seemed from high above when you're so used to seeing how giant the balloons look on TV that appear to be towering up into the buildings."
His photos share his unique elevated experience with the public. While the participants do appear small, his zoomed in finishes reveal precise details, seen in the general body movements of the crowds. Feel free to follow Navid and tweet him about his work at @NavidJ on Twitter.
