The M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas has recently introduced an innovative security measure in the form of an autonomous security robot. Developed by Knightscope, the K5 Autonomous Security Robot, affectionately nicknamed "M-Bot" by resort staff, has been deployed to patrol the parking lots and garage wearing the M Resort logo.
M-Bot offers a two-way communication system to protect visitors and workers, whilst also providing additional eyes and ears for the human security team. Importantly, the robot offers some respite to human guards who would otherwise be required to patrol in the scorching Las Vegas heat.
Patrick Durkin, VP of Marketing for M Resort, noted that the K5 robot is a welcome addition to the security team, as it provides guest assistance, peace of mind, and safety for the resort's guests and staff. The deployment of M-Bot is part of the resort's ongoing efforts to enhance and elevate their guest experience.
As the hospitality industry continues to adapt to new technologies, it is likely that we will see more robots like M-Bot being integrated into hotel and casino security systems, providing a unique and engaging experience for guests.
