The M² Bench features a modular seating design that can easily accommodate various scenarios. Placed indoors or outdoors, the M² Bench can be arranged in a contained pattern for smaller spaces or in a long, continuous line for public use.
Designed by Studio Segers, a design firm based in Maaseik, Limburg, the M² Bench was recently put into production by WoltersMABEG and Urbastyle. It was created to "reclaim public spaces as safe meeting places and encourage gathering and conversation," according to Design Milk.
The M² Bench is made out of concrete reinforced with optic fiber, which forms the seat, and a steel support frame. Sinuous and simple, the designers are working on a wooden version of the M² Bench.
