The Blanc de Blancs en Magnum is the newest champagne from Armand de Brignac and is the brand's most ambitious release ever. The luxurious bottle is part of the brand's prestige cuvée collection which is comprised of 2005, 2006 and 2008 vintages. Only 1,000 bottled of Blanc de Blancs en Magnum were produced, with 10 bottles already consumed at its launch party at Casa Cruz in London’s Notting Hill. The bottles can be purchased in the UK or online, with bottles costing £1,650 or $ 2,335.
The exclusive bottles were rested for seven years in Armand de Brignac cellars and then for another year on cork, which were specially hand-pressed by select employees. The complex ageing process, and curation, has given the champagne an incredible complexity and depth. Notes of baked pastry, pineapple, orange blossom, almond and a delicate bread finish. The creators behind Blanc de Blancs en Magnum claim the champagne is a perfect food companion and is served best with freshly shucked oysters.
