Esrawe Studio develops two sets of low-cost furniture. The collections are meant to satisfy requirements put forth by the Infonavit Housing Research and Practical Experimentation Laboratory which partners with leading architects to "prototype low-cost homes."
The initative has roots in creating a more favorable environment for all through improvements to living conditions in Mexico, with a focus on lower classes. Esrawe Studio's low-cost furniture designs will be used to outfit the 32 prototypes of affordable homes. The proposed structures are located in a plot in Alpan and will be inspected by the Infonavit Housing Research and Practical Experimentation Laboratory. Later, the pieces will be dispensed to furnish "social housing all over the country."
For its low-cost furniture, Esrawe Studio utilized wood and tubular metal. The silhouettes are easy-to-assemble, boasting a minimalist design.
