Istanbul-based interdisciplinary studio SANAYI313 presents its new Lounge Collection which is backed by the influence of automotive design's golden age. The capsule is defined by its minimal aesthetic and directly drew inspiration from an auto repair shop that is nestled in the Maslak neighborhood.
Creative director of SANAYI313, Enis Karavil speaks about the project, stating "The products are the outcome of our daily-life encounters, a dialogue between the spirit and culture of this industrial zone and aesthetic beauty." There are elements from the space that are reflected in the textural series of parts used to construct each model. The hard-wearing materials comprise "stainless steel, painted metal, maple burl veneer, leather, and glass" to create the sculptural furniture.
