Alphabet Will Bring Loon Internet to Several Areas in Mozambique

Alphabet recently indicated that Loon internet will be used to provide 4G service to different areas across Mozambique. Providing Loon internet to this area was made possible through collaboration with Vodacom, a local company. The 4G service will allow anyone with a 4G-VoLTE to connect to the internet, as well as use SMS and USSD.

Alastair Westgrath, the CEO of Loon spoke about the collaboration, "We view this as the first step to a larger partnership that will allow us to serve more of those users throughout Africa."

Westgrath also indicated that cellphone users in the region may not know they are using Loon-powered service. However, service will be extended into areas it was previously unavailable.
