The London Olympic Stadium is a first in Eco-Crime Fighting

The 2012 London Olympic Stadium is being made from over 52 tonnes of confiscated firearms. The massive collection of guns, knives and bullets collected by Scotland Yard is going to be melted down and put to good use in the sustainable project. It's a first in eco-crime fighting architecture.

The London Olympic Stadium isn't the only upcycled project by Britain's police force, which has been on a mission to go green. British metro police recycled 28 tonnes of spent bullets from London shooting ranges to fabricate fashionable photo frames and jewelry.
