L'Occitane has announced its plans to introduce a new in-store refill service in an effort to reduce its plastic consumption.
As consumers return to in-store shopping, the brand has decided to implement a Refill Fountain in 60 of its boutiques across 27 countries. This new green solution was a hit during the brand's pilot trial and received enormous positive feedback. The initiative anticipates saving L'Occitane around one ton of plastic within its first year of implementation. The fountains will begin by offering refills for five of L'Occitane's most popular products - including the Almond Shower Oil, Classic Verbena Shower Gel, Shea Verbena Liquid Soap, Intensive Repair Shampoo, and Intensive Repair Conditioner.
In an effort to keep its customers safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic, customers are welcomed to bring their empty bottle or purchase one from the store.
