The idea for the the Lisa Frode Time Flies desk was sparked from the design of an airplane cabin. Created by the Swedish industrial design graduate Lisa Frode, the desk was created to be a space saver. Inspired by the way in which old airplanes could divide space with curtains, Frode created a wooden desk frame covered with a fabric cover that can be left open or closed. Underneath this cover is a hanger to hide clothing away from the view of visitors.
According to Frode's website, her reasoning behind the desk was to create a possibility of "an enclosed space within a room. When working, one can get a quiet corner and after there is the option of hiding the mess on your desk away." Using a simple and efficient design, the Lisa Frode Time Flies desk becomes the perfect addition to any small or messy space.
