Idiosyncratic Infusion Branding

Line Art Packaging for Tea Deviates from the Aesthetic Norm

Without the tea shelf context surrounding this line art packaging, the consumer may not immediately guess the contents of the box. The typical carton for teabags and loose leaf infusions has floral and foliage symbols pictured on it, as well as the word 'tea' printed quite legibly. This design differs in its singular use of abstract symbolism, in its quirky typesetting and in its rather more minimalist and contemporary layout.

On a base of white space, Shannon&Lykke Unique Blend Tea is represented with the name of the brand in bold. What also catches the eye immediately is the artistic motif to symbolize each flavor, printed with great detail in a limited color scheme within each theme. Designer Iryna Korshak played with strokes and geometric shapes to create her highly modern line art packaging that would set such a product apart from competitors.
