Lincoln Clarke Photographs the Real Women of Downtown Vancouver

This series by Lincoln Clarke is much different than what he's used to shooting. As a professional fashion photographer, Clarke is used to taking lavish spreads of celebrities and supermodels; however, for this series entitled 'Heroine,' Lincoln Clarke hit the back alleys of downtown Vancouver to shoot some real women.

The subjects of this series range from prostitutes to addicts to women just trying to live a regular life in a bad environment. The result is an emotionally charged, socially conscious body of work that Lincoln Clarke can be proud of.
