‘Void’ is a social experiment created by an artist collective based in Germany (Tundra) that focuses on creating experiences and spaces from producing light installations with sound and visuals. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life and our obsessive attachment to the World Wide Web and our electronics, it’s hard to find peace and quiet or even stay calm and relaxed. The main goal of the projection is to see how long people can stay calm in an audiovisual environment. It’s an attempt to compartmentalize the idea of emptiness; the ‘Void’ is the absence of stimuli, the person steps in the middle of an empty dark room surrounded by complete emptiness.
In the video, the panoramic interactive projection consists of movement and sound. The person stands in the middle while a 360 degrees audiovisual streams around a black, empty room.
