Danish architecture firm COBE is tasked to create an extension for this library in Copenhagen and the firm truly challenges the traditional understanding of design for public facilities with the wedge-shaped silhouette it produced. The structure is, without a doubt, exceptionally interesting as at its narrowest point, it dips to 1.5 meters.
The library in Copenhagen — attentively called the Tingbjerg Library and Culture House, is actually part of a school. COBE consciously chose a modernist approach to the building's aesthetic, in order to pay homage to the surrounding area, as well as attempt to revitalize the current state of the neighborhood — this part of the Danish capital is currently "suffering social deprivation and high crime rates."
