Indian Skirt-Inspired Tables

Helen Kontouris Designed the Lehenga Table Collection for Len

Melbourne-based designer Helen Kontouris created the Lehenga table collection for design label Len. The design of the furniture piece was inspired by the look of traditional Indian skirts with the idea to capture the movement of the traditional Garba dance. The shape of the Lehenga table is asymmetrical as it rests on a conical base foundation with a circular mesh table surface. The Lehenga is available in two sizes and five color options in red, white, pink, black and gray.

The design is constructed from steel, toughened glass and finished with a powder coat. The Lehenga collection is extremely versatile and functional as it can be placed in both indoor and outdoor settings to hold drinks, books and other small household items.
