The LEGO Replay program was recently announced, and it is an initiative that will recycle and donate previously used LEGO bricks. LEGO stated that it will take "any and all" unwanted bricks into the program.
Bricks that have been donated to the LEGO Replay program will then be collected and sent to non-profit organizations. Tim Brooks, the LEGO Group VP of Environmental Responsibility, spoke on the new initiative by stating "The vast majority hand them down to their children or grandchildren. But others have asked us for a safe way to dispose of or to donate their bricks. With Replay, they have an easy option that’s both sustainable and socially impactful."
In order to contribute to the program, those with unwanted LEGO bricks are able to pack the bricks in a cardboard box and print a free UPS shipping label to contribute to the program. Packages will all go to the Give Back Box location, where bricks will be examined and cleaned before they are repurposed.
