To avoid the clutter and messiness of writing on a single calendar by hand, the team at Vitamins Design created the LEGO Calendar as a way to facilitate scheduling for everyone in the office on one board.
From the start, the team wanted the calendar to be big enough, show a few months ahead, be easy to understand and be able to also integrate online and offline schedules. The calendar is comprised of large gray rectangular blocks that signify months, while the smaller cubes represent a span of half a day, with each color denoting work for a specific project. Each staff member is assigned their own LEGO character.
When someone took a picture of the board and emailed it to a special address, the software would scan the electronically synced board and upload the same schedule from the LEGO Calendar into a digital calendar. Vitamins Design will soon share the same computer code so users can organize their schedules in much the same way.
