The Leather Parrot by Zim and Zou is Seemingly Realistic

The Leather Parrot for Hermès by Zim and Zou is made completely out of colorful leather pieces. Zim and Zou created this parrot with so much detail that it appears real enough to make you want to teach it funny words. This project was created to be a part of an exhibition in Hong Kong for Hilton McConnico. The parrot is made completely out of small pieces of individually cut leather in blue, green, yellow, turquoise, grey and black hues.

Zim and Zou is a French studio formed by artists Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann. They create a variety of graphic design projects, illustrations and paper sculptures that are completely unique. Thomas and Zimmerman studied graphic design together for three years, and they make their rough drafts on paper instead of computer imaging.
