In its latest drop, footwear purveyor Vans applies the layered shoe aesthetic. Available in three colorways — including white, black, and navy, the model takes on the silhouette of the Era, which is also known as the brand's first-ever offering.
In 2019, however, the label takes a curious turn. Dubbed 'The Vans Era 3ra,' the new footwear additions boast the original Era but times three. That is, the model has "three bumpers, three foxing stripes, three heel scabs, and three tongues." In a sense, this is a strong amplification, suggesting a level of experimentality in the area of the layered shoe design.
The subdued color palette allows for unconventional elements to stand out. Moreover, Vans offers each pair for $60 USD, which is quite affordable.
