Carlos Jimenez cleverly repurposes old scraps of wood in his latest design project that recycles the pieces by turning them into a stylishly minimal landscape puzzle game. The diverse wooden blocks can be stacked and arranged in a variety of shapes and styles to recreate scenes from nature such as mountains, buildings, trees and other alluring sites.
The idea for the Horizons puzzle game came to Jimenez after noticing so many unused offcuts of wood where ending up in the garbage. Each puzzle set comes with twelve blocks that can be used to recreate the outline of several mountains, an urban cityline or perhaps an abstract landscape of your choosing. This puzzle game showcases how unused natural resources can be repurposed into stylish design pieces for adults and children alike.
