Demand for customizable storage solutions is only increasing given consumer need for better ways to store essentials, which is seeing new creations like the 'Kurio' shelving unit be created.
Looking like a decorative piece of wall art, the shelving unit has a grid layout that will allow aluminum panels to be interconnected across it for a customizable way to keep items stored or on display. The absence of screws or fasteners helps it to maintain a clean look that's perfect for any area of the home.
The 'Kurio' shelving unit is the design work of Markus Hofko of Von Morgen and is the winner of the 2019 A’ Design Award. The inspiration behind the storage solution was explained by Hofko who said, "The basic idea is inspired by the Cabinets Of Curiosities (hence the name Kurio) of the late renaissance. These wooden cabinets were shelfing systems with various boxes of different sizes, to hold objects of wonder from all around the world and juxtapose them in intriguing arrangements."
