Czech car manufacturer Škoda is using a new marketing campaign called "Tiny Billboards" to promote its range of electric vehicles to drivers of competing brands. The campaign, created by agency Nord DDB, involves placing miniature out-of-home billboards in parking lots in urban areas in Sweden. These billboards are visible to drivers of competing brands through their rearview cameras and infotainment displays inside their cars. The campaign aims to reach drivers at a time when they are most likely to be looking at their infotainment screens – when they are searching for a parking spot.
The tiny billboards have been designed with great attention to detail by Swedish miniature artist Christopher Robin Nordström, also known as @TokyoBuild on Instagram. The billboards contain everything from spotlights and ladders to graffiti, and are intended to capture the attention of drivers in a subtle and humorous way.
Škoda recently launched the all-electric Enyaq Coupé RS iV and has several other electric models in development, which will be launched in the coming years. The Tiny Billboards campaign is part of the brand's efforts to promote its growing range of electric vehicles and draw attention to its sustainability efforts.
