The Kobo Aura H2O is an e-reader that is both waterproof and dust-proof. It is a successor to the Aura HD, but is lighter than thinner. It has a 6.8-inch anti-glare touchscreen display and a resolution of 265 dots per inch, the highest resolution of any e-ink device on the market.
The device is the result of surveys conducted by Kobo that found that their customers wanted to be able to read in their bath, by the pool and on the beach without worry. With that in mind, the Kobo Aura H2O was designed to be water-proof for up to 30 minutes in 1 meter of water as long as its port cover is closed. The device is also dust-proof.
The e-reader is available from October 1 and will retain for $179.99.
