Indestructible Public Shuttles

The Knegadesign Safety Bus is Designed to Challenge Disaster

Children are some of the most frequent coach passengers, and with their protection in mind, the Knegadesign Safety Bus will be built to minimize the impact of collisions.

Product designer Erik Borg worked with Stephan Merkle and Martin Hanberger to conceive this shatterproof shuttle with impeccable emergency response and security features. First of all, the shell of the mass transit auto is reinforced with a web of trussed crossbars that prevent the hull's distortion and the possibility of a compromised roof. Each of the 40 seats within the vehicle come equipped with seatbelts, storage beneath the chairs to reduce injury in an accident, and the ability to be rearranged and removed as a stretcher if need be. The Knegadesign Safety Bus will have foolproof emergency exits and an alarm that calls for an ambulance directly.
