Brutalism-Inspired Clothing Shops

Kloke's Melbourne Store Boasts Coarse Walls & Monolithic Forms

For the design of fashion brand Kloke's Melbourne clothing shop, Studio Goss created an interior design that pulls inspiration from the Brutalist movement. The architectural style embraces the use of raw concrete and repeated modular elements that form large masses to distinguish spaces.

Kloke's store boasts a style that matches its fashion designs, which are both sculptural and pared-back in terms of aesthetics. A rough concrete stucco texture is carried throughout the space, simultaneously adding interest and unifying the entirety of the shop.

Since concrete is a material that can be both heavy and dark, the interior boasts a faux skylight detail and lights that dot the ceiling to illuminate the sculptural, Brutalism-inspired interior setting.
