Minion-Like Coding Robots

These Kids' Robots Come with a Connected App to Teach Users How to Code

These cute little kids' robots are named Dash & Dot and are here to teach children about the wonders of coding from a young age. Vikas Gupta was the head of consumer payments at Google and a resident of Silicon Valley and is also a father. To give his daughter, and all children, the skills they will need as they grow up in a technology-laden world, he created 'Wonder Workshop.'

The Wonder Workshop kids' robots connect to a tablet or smartphone app, where kids can use their colorful touchscreens to program the Minion-like toys. Their features include dancing in a circle when a user claps their hands. The robots are packed with sensors and accelerometers that enable them to do things that will actually excite children, especially because they know it is a direct result of their work (or play).
