KIDILL Unveils Its SS19 Capsule Informed by Punk-Informed Designs

Japanese designer Hiroaki Suiyasu plays a strong role in designing KIDILL's latest Spring/Summer 2019 collection. The design elements are true to Suiyasu's style, highlighting punk style aesthetics on a series of traditional Japanese apparel. Although the structures are traditional, it takes on contemporary updates as well -- it is informed by unstructured cuts, graphic prints, and plaid designs. Notably, the capsule heavily features 'Pennywise the Clown' from the hit horror film and novel 'It.' The clown is found on graphics that decorate the back of jackets, t-shirts, and more.

Some other seasonal pieces include collars with studded designs, leather face masks, jackets, 'Kangol' hats, animalistic boots, and more. The punk-infused apparel are adorned in a color palette that highlights deep hues of black, purple, and red.
