Miniature Wired Bonsai Trees

Kevin Iris Wire Trees are Intricate and Beautiful

Kevin Iris is an artist in his early 20s who has turned his obsession with miniature bonsai trees into a collection of well over 20 trees made entirely out of wire.

The idea for making these wire trees came about when Kevin was shaping his real bonsai trees with some wire to help "train" the branches to grow in a certain direction. One of Kevin's bonsai trees was so stubborn that it was almost completely covered in wire. So, to make it a lot easier for himself, Kevin decided to remove the tree completely and just leave the wire.

Kevin Iris now has his wire trees in several galleries and shows and available for sale online. I can only imagine the immense amount of time it must take to create these amazing sculptures.
