Humberto Leon and Carol Lim are no strangers to travelling in search of inspiration, but for the Kenzo Resort '16 collection, the designer duo found influence underneath the scorching sun.
A total contrast from its forestry-themed Fall '15 collection, the Kenzo Resort '16 line is riddled with sun-bleached fabrics and a minimal color palette. Still playing with military and utilitarian details, this collections offers safari jackets, tunics, D-ring straps and cargo pants. Paying homage to the desert theme, a cactus motif is seen quite often within this line. The plant-based graphic is dotted across nylon Windbreakers and robe dresses.
This collection also features an avant-garde ombre pattern that mirrors the look of colored sand grains.
