The Keeko Robot is Being Used to Teach Chinese Kids Problem-Solving Skills

Adorable and full of life, the Keeko robot is becoming an unconventional teacher of kindergarten-aged children at select Chinese schools. Measuring in at just 60-centimeters tall, the Keeko robot is built to be adorably cute and zips around the classroom on tiny wheels. The face of the robot is a large screen that presents smiling faces to the children that interact with it.

The Keeko robot is currently being used at the Yiswind Institute of Multicultural Education and currently challenged children with helping a prince find his way through the desert. Children can accomplish this by putting square mats together that presents a path for the robot. This "game" is meant to enforce a sense of problem-solving in the children while also combining in elements of storytelling.
