The Kansas City Library is putting new meaning to the term "big read." The library has installed a larger-than-life literature shelf that extends to 25 feet by 9 feet.
Unfortunately, this massive manual holder is indeed a facade. The gigantic books held by the shelf are made out of mylar, and are actually placed as a cover for the Kansas City Library garage. Regardless, the enormous monstrosity-of-a shelf is great fun to look at. With titles such as 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Romeo and Juliet,' the Kansas City Library is sure to go down in history.
