Smartwool's Second Cut K9 Camp Cushion is Made from Recycled Socks

For National Sock Day on December 4th, Smartwool is launching the Second Cut K9 Camp Cushion, a dog bed made from recycled sock shreddings. This sustainable dog bed is one of the ways that the company is working towards its goal of 100% circularity by 2030.

This product is the first to launch from Smartwool's Second Cut Project, which helps to repurpose socks from any brand. Since the project's inception, the brand has collected over 90,000 worn-down and mismatched socks for recycling through its community, and this has been helpful for keeping more than 12,000 pounds of material out of landfills.

The comfortable dog bed can be found in small, medium and large sizes, featuring an interior cushion of unwanted socks and a washable fabric exterior made from recycled polyester.
