In honor of the pair's fifth anniversary, UNIQLO and JW Anderson have presented their latest project together. This is a minimally focused collection, and it shows Jonathan Anderson's passion for warm designs as well as Uniqlo's innate focus on practicality. The easy lines and rich, saturated fall color palette of the collection are a clear nod to the designers' common respect for British modernism.
Throughout the winter months, warmth is provided by ultra-soft textiles like wool, corduroy, and cotton. A lightweight belted coat, track pants with adjustable fasteners, and an ultra-light down parka with quilted stitching are among the new additions to the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, which also includes parkas, fleeces, track jackets, and knitwear.
"There are some great examples of modern British architecture that were the inspiration for this season – mainly those that have a stripped-back, minimalist sensibility. There’s a simplicity to the design but also attention to detail that we wanted to convey in the collection, which comes from the design codes of architectural minimalism… For this particular season, we wanted to clean up and refine our approach to clothing," said Anderson.
