Juntae Kim creates a new iteration of a pair of Salomon sneakers which takes the iconic technical shoes and adorns it with couture components. The shoes were shown during an intimate showroom during Milan Fashion Week and it is approached from the angle of bespoke cut-and-sew fashion.
The creative silhouette transforms a pair of winterized trail shoes and has black and red SNOWCROSS details. Additionally, the shoe is converted into a bright boot sneaker hybrid with the addition of pleated mesh frills. Additionally, the gray Salomon recovery shoes are adorned with mesh wings which are further accented by rubber materials. The spotlight hits the XT-6 shoes as it has a white base overlaid with brown nylon fabric and a sunflower-like pattern on top.
