Knit Sweater Seating

The Jumper Chair by Bertjan Pot for Established & Sons

The Jumper Chair is so named because of the knitted "sweater" that surrounds the seat's wooden frame (not because it may start hopping around your home). Designed by Bertjan Pot for Established & Sons, the Jumper Chair made its debut at this year's Milan Design Week.

The knitted woolen cover is affixed to the Jumper Chair using hidden buttons. The cover was fashioned with a knitting machine and subsequently washed at very high heat to attain a seamless, upholstered effect.
