Shaggy Tree Hair Art

Jonny Glover's Hair Art is Shaggy and Spruced Up

Jonny Glover's trees are shrubby, bushy and full of hair.

In a collection of drawings by the London-based Glover of different sized trees, each one is drawn with various hairstyles to give each tree a faceless, anthropomorphized look. Some of the haircuts go back to a time that would have counted such hairstyles hip and stylish, such as the shaggy Jheri curl, the hard-to-pull-off mushroom cut and the side donut buns.

Each of Jonny Glover's drawings are done on trees that are black and white in color, with no hint of any life on the trees but for the hairstyles. Some other hairstyles that complement the look of dapper hairstyles include the rasta-inspired dreads, the empty runway with side patches and the exorbitant spaceship afro. Glover's illustrations remind us that while some of these hairstyles can still be pulled off, they are probably best judged by time.
