The Jointed Jewel Amalia Collection features a selection of quilted patterns. The New York-based designer Alissia Melka-Teichroew has released the pieces by way of her personal brand byAMT.
Titled the Quilt Collection, she has focused on a specific shape and theme that is consistently present in these necklaces and rings. She has also interspersed these pieces with both old and new elements as she works with organic quilting and new industrial methods of manufacture at the same time. 3D engraving has been a part of this manufacture scheme, enabling her to relay precise detailing within the pieces.
This particular line celebrates the re-opening of Germany's Oranienbaum Palace which was the site of the Grand Summer Exhibition, an event that showcased Dutch design and fashion.
