The flowing ridges that snake their way from the foreground into the background of each scene seem like an over-sized zen garden tended to by giants.
Looking at the undulating dunes of earth and crops weave from side to side through rolling hills, one can be forgiven for falling into a bit of a daze. The aesthetic is quite hypnotic and even psychedelic.
As far as colors go, Marx tends to focus on no more than two in this series. Whether choosing gradating shades of grey, sharp monochromatic contrasts or complimenting green hues, he conjures an elegant minimalism that does well to compliment the scenes he portrays.
